The Frank-Dodd debacle is an example of the Congressional same-old-new-day mentality.  It is a license for continued bailouts and forced business seizures.  None of the existing problems are solved, and the downturns, reverses, meltdowns, and bubbles will be dealt with not by clear regulation or laws but by regulator discretion.  Arbitrary enforcement is a prescription for disaster.

Arbitrary enforcement of our immigration laws is an ongoing disaster.  O-buma's pontificating aside, the borders are not safe.  The twenty-one corpses resulting from a gun battle between rival smuggling gangs a few miles south of the border is stark evidence.

Also on shaky ground is the nation's economy.  The national debt will be 62% of our GDP by year's end.  Concerning the Theftocrats runaway spending spree, fiscal incompetence, and economic myopia, Congressional Budget Office chief Doug Elmendorf warned the White House deficit commission of a "full blown fiscal crisis."  Perhaps we could benefit from being forced to enact an austerity program similar to that in effect in Greece.

If we stop subsidizing feckless, irresponsible, and greedy behavior there will be less of it.

Speaking of such matters as feckless, irresponsible, and greedy, here is the Vicaress of Vapidity asserting that unemployment checks create jobs.

Congressman Ron Kind (D-WI) did not invent the Loony Left; however, he is undoubtedly a charter member.  Thank goodness that his votes were recorded.

O-buma has violated his oath of office to enforce the law.  This is an impeachable act.  The fellow in this video supports decent and intelligent law enforcement.  He is also a life long Democrat.  He has also noticed that Brick-a-Brack O-buma is a hustler.

Did you wonder why the O-bumessiah would give a speech on national television to offer his views on immigration at a time when his own party leaders have conceded that there will be no legislation before the mid-term elections in November?  He is pandering to the Hispanic vote and praying that he does not lose the majority that Corruptocrats hold in the House.

He is getting desperate.  The federal agencies responsible for inspecting oil rigs in the Gulf failed to do their jobs, the spill response was too little and too late, his porkulous flopped, unemployment remains high, he stole GM and gave it to the UAW, his too-big-to-fail scam, like his vice president, is a national embarrassment, his czars are a collection of communists and miscreants, Russia, China, Venezuela, North Korea, and Iran are pushing us all over the map, and the CBO reports that the Theftocrats are making us bankrupt.
