Speechcrime is Thoughtcrime

Anyone who still believes that the O-totalitarians are not trying to use the Federal Communication Commission to censor free political speech on the Internet is dangerously gullible.  Only Republican control of the House of Representatives prevents it.  Localism is Big Nanny’s latest euphemism for censorship.  The FCC proposed among other items that broadcast stations create community advisory boards, require staff to be on site whenever a station was on the air and provide reports.  They are promoting this scheme under the guise of protecting children from pornographic predators.  FCC Commissioner Robert McDowell said this about censoring Internet content.

The government would be compiling data as to what kind of content you were airing and whether the government thought that was appropriate content," McDowell said.  This claim’s despicable arrogance directly reflects White House sentiments.  They plan to use their prejudices to determine appropriate Internet content.

It could be political speech…we don't know where the government is headed.  Sentient beings know localism’s direction is totalitarian takeover.  Speech articulates thoughts and feelings; censoring speech also censors thought.  Speechcrime is Thoughtcrime.

They plan to employ standard-issue Corruptocrat incrementalism; first, they contrive a shred of justification for censoring a part of Internet content.  Once done, they will goose-step their way to totalitarian control of the Web to censor dissent before the next election.  First, the FCC will require pre-approval—for online media and individual contributors—prior to publication on the Internet.

This will necessitate a national online ID.  Next, the commission will appoint community advisory boards in all major metropolitan areas to regulate information dissemination.  Content advisers will bowdlerize all information unflattering to the current regime.  The FCC will close ISPs that fail to comply.

Corrupt regimes throughout history and across the globe have used regulation and taxation to control thought by controlling speech.  The O-totalitarians are continuing the legacies of Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot.  In late June, the FCC released research recommendations for overhauling and updating the agency’s regulatory approach to print, broadcast, cable and the Internet.  This is largely a scheme to redistribute resources to their welfare constituents, although they lack the regulatory authority to do this.

That Hussein O-buma is a traitor is self-evident.  Cicero observed that the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men.  He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.

A more apt description of progressive O-bumites has never been uttered.  They have wrecked the economy; they have turned education into brain washing; they control the mainstream media; the judiciary unilaterally repeals inconvenient legislation.  Everyone who cares about our children’s and grandchildren’s futures should heed this clarion call.

O-buma's Jihad Against Free Speech

The O-bumites’ arrogance stems from being closed-minded.  A Chinese proverb states that a closed mind is like a closed book; it is merely a block of wood.  Their minds are closed to alternative views because their arguments will not bear scrutiny.  When examined rationally, the hypocrisy inherent in those arguments makes them fall apart like all other contradictions because they are oxymoronic.

They are desperate to silence rational dissent that inconveniently exposes their lack of scruples.  Since they already own the lapdog media, they have moved on to assault free political speech on the Internet.  They want to refashion the Web into their own Ministry of Truth.  Although a federal appeals court in Washington, DC, has already ruled that the Federal Communication Commission lacks the legal authority to regulate the Internet, the agency is trying to censor its content through the Net Neutrality doctrine.

Some informative articles exposing the FCC’s underhanded tactics are at the Website Digital Liberty.  One article reveals that the proposed rules would empower the federal government to control all aspects of the Internet, including content.  They want to stifle grassroots opposition to the progressives’ planned takeover of the country.  Once in place, no one will know what has been censored because it is impossible to know what never took place, and the censors will not reveal it.

As usual, their lies are Orwellian.  FCC lawyers cite section 706 of the Telecommunications Act as their excuse for the takeover.  What 706 actually says and tries to create is regulatory forbearance and [to institute] measures to remove barriers to infrastructure investment.  Essentially, it calls for an expansion of broadband by deregulating the industry, rather than the FCC’s plan of onerous regulation.

Think for a moment about Internet photos depicting Islamic fascists in Dearborn, Michigan, waving signs advocating murder for anyone who notices that fundamentalist Islamic beliefs are racist, misogynistic, and genocidal.  There is a parallel here.  O-buma and his ideological and moral soul mates want to kill the Web, and with it, the voices of those who are objecting to progressives’ totalitarian attempts to deny them participation in the political process.

This is the progressives’ equivalent of a Muslim forced marriage, only this one is between an abusive government and an unwilling public.  Although both the legislative and judicial branches of government have forbidden it, the O-bumites are proceeding under their own legal code, one that is eerily similar--do as we say, not as we do--to Sharia law.  They have created their own legal system, one that is expedient to their own cause and that allows them to censor dissent on the Internet.

Rest assured that people who feel threatened by free political speech have something sinister to hide.  An unfettered marketplace of ideas and arguments competing for viability as to the most prudent direction that we should steer this nation should threaten no one except the most devious.  American progressives and Islamic jihadists are ideological and moral peas from the same pod; both have a great deal to hide.

May your gods be with you.

Once Critical of W, Now O-buma Emulates Him

According to The Washington Examiner, O-buma continues to out-Bush W’s policies.  Civil libertarians once looked to this president to right the constitutional balance. But what Obama has wrought is the same old 'Terror Presidency' with new rhetoric.  In some areas, '44' has gone even further than '43'.  Our new decider launched a war in Libya without so much as a by-your-leave to Congress.  It's nice to have a neocon back in the White House.

Thirty plus unelected and un-vetted czars creating regulations reveal the president’s fundamental belief that he need not answer to anyone.  Cass Sunstein is Barack’s ideological soul mate and head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.  He is responsible for overseeing policies relating to privacy, information quality, and statistical programs.  Cass writes that the feds should cognitively infiltrate online groups and websites that have the temerity to expose and condemn the O-bumites’ Official Party Line.  Imagine it, using free political speech to criticize acts of the government.

This none too subtle indoctrination is designed to increase citizens' faith in government officials and undermine the credibility of critics.  Trust me; I’m with the high command.  Sunstein proposed secretly paying propaganda purveyors to bolster the Government's messaging.  It is interesting that the head of O-buma’s Ministry of Truth holds these beliefs.  Close government scrutiny of citizens’ speech and behavior is one of the mommy staters’ favorite schemes.

This article in The Washington Times warns that the government does not need a warrant to access any personal information that has been stored in the cloud for more than 180 days.  The state takes the expedient position that the Fourth Amendment does not apply here.  Another author reports here that Ron Wyden, an Oregon Democrat serving on the Senate Intelligence Committee harshly criticized the O-bumites’ chicanery.

When the American people find out how their government has secretly interpreted the Patriot Act, they will be stunned and they will be angry…many members of Congress have no idea how the executive branch is secretly interpreting the law, because that interpretation is classified. Members of the public have no access to the executive branch's secret legal interpretations, so they have no idea what their government thinks this law means....

Regulating Internet content is merely one part of the cost of maintaining the theft-welfare state.  This article concerning the Small Business Administration’s research on government regulation reveals that the cost of this form of state interference in the lives of individuals increased from $1.1 trillion a year in 2005 to $1.75 late in 2010…including a $445 billion increase in the cost of economic regulation.  $1.75 trillion is more than the government collects from us in income taxes; it is roughly equivalent to Italy’s entire GDP.

Even more distressing is the fact that we still have not fully accounted for the costs of O-buma’s WelfareHealthCare.  While the financial costs are staggering, lost liberty through over regulation is perhaps the greatest loss of all.

This report by the American Civil Liberties Union advises that new reporting and customer monitoring requirements boost the expense of doing business and expose companies to lawsuits over consumer privacy.  The Patriot Act has eliminated the last vestiges of privacy in this nation.  It enables government to subpoena businesses for any tangible thing, including customer records, library check-out lists, medical records, bank account information, etc.  What makes this law so extraordinary is that Sec. 215 removes the normal requirement to meet the legal standard of 'probable cause'.

Revealingly, the reports that businesses are forced to relinquish to the feds are usually about wholly domestic transactions of people in the USA, and do not relate to foreign intelligence information.  There is no judicial review and no notice to the person [to] whom the records relate.

The government's totalitarian arrogance is eerily reminiscent of Franz Kafka’s novel The Trial.  The state need not establish probable cause to arrest us.  The government’s philosophy is that being arrested is prima facie evidence of guilt.  After all, the state’s omniscience is such that it would not waste the resources to arrest and try us if we were not guilty.

Coming Soon: Ration Cards for Political Discourse

Of course you are guilty.  The state would not expend the resources to investigate, arrest, and try you if you were not.

The voices are starting to mount.  They are issuing a clarion call to warn of the intentions of O-buma's Fascista to censor free speech on the Internet.  The Washington Times has exposed Barack's Bullies' schemes to create Internet Pharaoh Obama by squelching inconvenient dissent on the Web.  In the name of protecting unfettered communication, they want to appoint a cadre of inept bureaucrats with suspect motives to control, regulate, and ration the liberty of uncensored expression.

Concerning this thinly guised Web takeover, the referenced editorial asserts that "the slow moving entities of the federal government are least capable of responding to fast-paced, evolving technology threats...companies have more of an incentive to protect their billion dollar investments than '9 to 5' bureaucrats with guarantied lifetime employment."  The same group of dullards who have woefully mismanaged the economy want to mismanage liberty by rationing free political speech.

Despite the fact that "Congress specifically exempted the Internet from regulation by the Federal Communications Commission...the Obama administration remains committed to getting its hands on the private infrastructure that serves as the backbone of online discourse."  One way to gain control of it is to make it inaccessible.  Theftocrat Thugs are trying to force Internet users to have a national online identification card that will prevent "anonymous Web commentary."

The Obamatrons poo poo objections to national ID cards by claiming that participation will be strictly voluntary.  When Social Security was first implemented, it was a voluntary program also.  This is merely a ruse; it is standard issue Corruptocrat incrementalism.  Once their collective foot is in the door, no American will be allowed to access the Internet without federal approval and supervision, and another avenue to discuss and criticize the acts of government agents in a public forum will be closed forever.

To eliminate speech is to eliminate the thoughts that it expresses.  Censorship is almost always unjustifiable.  Former Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart observed that "censorship reveals society's lack of confidence in itself.  It is a hallmark of an authoritarian regime."

One enduring trait of the Totalitarian Theftocrats is that "they want to maintain power by any means necessary.  No politician should ever be given a button to silence the Internet.  That rule applies as much to Washington as to Cairo," because when people surrender liberty, it is almost impossible to regain it.

May your gods be with you.

O-buma: Destroyer of Hope, Effector of Unwanted Change

For everyone who still believes that the Obamatrons are not engaged in a concerted effort to control, regulate, and censor Internet content, please read this article.  Information is power, and these totalitarians are power hungry.

Flash News Report: ultra-right wing reporter Chris Mathews says that O-buma's handling of the Egypt crisis made him feel "ashamed as an American."  Hmmm, welcome to the club, Chris.

The people who are asked to serve as part of a presidential administration are chosen, at least to some extent, because they reflect the philosophical and moral nature of the president.  Attorney General Eric BumHolder protects and defends the Constitution only when it is politically expedient.  Avowed communist and environmental advisor to O-buma Van Jones claimed that Bush officials had "deliberately allowed 911 to happen...as a pretext for war."

Nonetheless, it is Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius who may most accurately reflect the true nature of Beast O-buma.  She "hid from Congress until after the Obamacare vote a damning report from the Medicare and Medicaid Office of the Actuary showing Obamacare would cost $311 billion more than promised and would displace 14 million Americans from their current insurance."

So far Sebelius the Slippery has granted 733 waivers from the healthcare takeover to significant campaign contributors such as the SEIU.  First they send their goons to disrupt the town hall meetings and suppress the truth about this blatant act of theft, and then like magic, they are granted a waiver from having to participate in it.  Well, there is a tiny bit more to it.  SEIU did "donate $27 million to President Obama's presidential campaign."  However, that is not a quid pro quo arrangement of privileges granted in return for money.  Honest.

An interesting side note is that the $27M began as tax dollars taken from workers and given to SEIU.  They gave them to O-buma.  There is something perverse about getting robbed to support one's enemies.

General Electric contributed almost $500,000 to O-buma and company.  In January, 2011, the White House announced new global warming regulations for businesses; in February, GE received an exemption from them.  DEFINITELY not quid pro quo, and definitely not a political payback for GE CEO and Jobs Czar Jeffrey Immelt.  You bet.

O-buma is proving to be a mashup of Jimmy Carter's massive ineptitude and Bill Clinton's amorality.

Homeland Security Secretary and wholesale importer of illegal alien welfare recipients  Janet Napolitano has abandoned work on our virtual fence that was begun to protect the country's border with Mexico.  Unfortunately, that border is terribly porous, and terrorists are being smuggled into the US.  We were lucky enough to catch one of them, but how many more are already here?

Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Barack O-buma have all been touted by the mainstream media as people with good intentions.  Jimmy's intentions created the Communist Redistribution Act that was one of the primary causes of the financial meltdown of 2008.  Bill's intentions sprang mainly from his loins.  O-buma intends to expand the theft welfare state until there are more people riding in the wagon that there are pulling it.  Intentions are cheap and easy; it is in the consequences that the devil gets into the details.

This is information that Corruptocrats would like buried.  After all, they are prodigious practitioners of Soviet style nonfactual historical revisionism.  Now, there is a growing European movement demanding the power to sanitize the inconvenient past.

What do US taxpayers get for $363M a year?  Apparently, covering up statutory rape is not enough, nor is accepting donations for race-based abortions.  It seems as though what we also get from Planned Parenthood is help facilitating child prostitution rings.

Finally there is a bit of good news.  Republicans have succeeded in pressuring the Theftocrats into banning earmarks (pork) from spending bills, at least for now.

May your gods be with you.

The Enemy is Us

In this article from the National Taxpayers Union, author Pete Sepp points out that the Federal Communication Commission's recently imposed and oxymoronically named "net neutrality" rules are illegal.  This action "flies in the face of a recent court ruling telling the FCC that it lacks in the requisite regulatory authority to engage in such schemes."

It is the province of Congress, not bureaucrats appointed by the executive branch, to create legislation concerning the Internet.

True to form, Corruptocrats are involved in illegal, if not unconstitutional, activities.  First, they create regulation without prior legislation to authorize it; the next step is oppressive taxation.  Finally, they confiscate by bureaucratic fiat, and the theft is complete.  This is a standard issue Theftocrat hustle.  We will join the Chinese and Iranian citizens seeking Web access from clandestine sources.

The O-buma crowd is nauseatingly and unjustifiably arrogant.  They have "thumbed their collective nose at the" other branches of government whose members have been telling them to keep their greedy hands off of the Web.  The incoming Congress should "restore control of the Internet to its rightful owners: consumers, who can vote with their dollars, and the businesses that compete to earn those dollars."

Anyone who doubts the existence of O-buma's totalitarian power grabbing ambitions should read this article and a companion piece concerning the fraudulent claims used to justify the theft of liberty.  The federal Environmental Protection Agency has usurped the authority of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.  Particularly disturbing is the O-buma administration's "continuing pattern of using regulations to circumvent the will of the people" and implement "what it can't get through Congress."

The costs to consumers of this sleight of hand enactment of the hugely unpopular cap-and-trade ripoff will be enormous.  Part and parcel to the plans to eviscerate the middle class is the Federal Reserve's monetizing the national debt by printing worthless money.  This US version of the Wiemar Republic's hyper-inflated Deutsch marks is causing the cost of a barrel of crude oil to soar as more and more fake dollars compete for limited amounts of oil.  Unaffordable energy is the ecofascists' dream.

What this country needs desperately right now, aside from a leader with the guts to make the hard economic choices needed to end the current mess, is for Congress to pass a balanced budget amendment that will force legislators to stop borrowing.  Last year, England and Canada loaned us all the money that they could manage.  Soon, China will refuse to buy our paper or demand usurious interest rates for lending to us because we are spendthrifts.  The passive aggressive O-bumites have chosen the Nikita Khrushchev method of dismantling our nation; they have buried us without firing a shot, buried us under a mountain of debt.

It is in this way that we will lose our sovereignty, crumbling from within due to imprudent fiscal policy.  Margaret Thatcher was right; we have run out of other people's money, and now we are going to pay for it.  Before long, the sort of riots happening in Greece will have reached our shores because we can't feed the drones that we have created, and we continue to import welfare recipients.  This describes the progressive mommy staters' achievements over the last fifty years; it is a step-by-step map of the downward slope of America's drift into mediocrity.

May your gods be with you.

Assault on Free Speech and Thought

True to form, the O-bumites are skulking about behind closed doors and operating clandestinely to further their edu-mess and pander to the national education collective.  Under the guise of voluntary compliance, they are forcing the individual states to continue dumbing down their curricula and adopt federally imposed standards under the Common Core State Standards Initiative.

Little of value can be created in a vacuum.  That is why educrats are vehemently opposed to competition and free enterprise.  Competition exposes incompetence.  Revealingly, their arguments against competition are based upon the belief that accurately differentiating between competent and incompetent teachers is impossible.

Imposing these so-called standards will allow the illegally invented and funded federal Department of Education and its ideological twin the National Education Association government union to impose a national curriculum.  Then, this group of unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats will inject nationwide their agenda of progressivism and paganism to force unsuspecting children and parents to accept their selfish and greedy goals.

They are particularly keen to expand their control of the teaching of English.  Through this, they can eliminate words, phrases, ideas, and methods of thinking that accurately and inconveniently expose them as traitors to the nation that they are pledged to serve.  Another part of this strategy is their use of neologisms to twist existing word meanings to perpetuate their propaganda and disinformation programs.

At the forefront of the use of censorship to further the official party line is a group with the Orwellian name of Free Press.

This totalitarian restriction of communication and free speech has been taken to the Internet.  Despite court rulings against the FCC, lawless bureaucrats continue pressing their agenda to stifle dissent.

First, Net Neutrality is a misnomer; it is more accurately described as Not Neutral Net Policy.  It is not neutral in that it is biased toward the party-of-government Theftocrats whose aim it is to silence those online watchdogs who expose the nefarious and manipulative schemes of the Loony Left.  The arguments against the NN plan are difficult to refute logically.

May your gods be with you.
